NEW YORK -- A New York City woman has been reunited with her lost wedding dress two years after she dropped it off at the cleaners to have it preserved.
Nicole Pagliaro didn't think she'd ever see her wedding gown again. She thought it was gone forever after Superstorm Sandy destroyed the Staten Island dry cleaners where she dropped it off in 2012.
It turns out the owner opened a new store and placed the dress in the window, hoping its rightful owner would see it. And that's exactly what happened a few days ago.
"She looked over and goes, 'that's my dress,'" said her husband, Michael Pagliaro. "I said, 'no, it's not. How do you know?' She goes, 'No, that's my dress.'"
"He could have sold it, he could have thrown it out, but he said no, he held onto it as much as I held onto it," Nicole said.
Nicole says she doesn't know if her 18-month-old daughter Mia Grace will want to wear the wedding dress on her big day, but now she'll have that option.
