JT Alpaugh
J.T. Alpaugh is a helicopter reporter for ABC7 Eyewitness News. He has been flying aerial news in the Los Angeles area since 1987.

Some notable news stories J.T. has covered include the 1992 Los Angeles Riots, the 1994 Northridge Earthquake, the 1994 O.J. Simpson pursuit, the 1997 North Hollywood shootout, the 2000 Alaska Airline Flight 261 crash, the 2009 Station Fire, the 2015 San Bernardino terrorist attacks and shootout and the 2016 Blue Cut Fire.

In 2005, J.T. was the first and only airborne reporter over the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and Rita in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast region and became the aerial pool reporter for the next four weeks providing the iconic images and narration of these catastrophic disasters to the world from the air.
