Mojave Desert bunkers to be destroyed

MOJAVE DESERT (KABC) The bunker is one of several that sits on a former Army airfield. They are abandoned and have become hangouts for young people.

Eighteen-year-old Christopher Thompson and his 16-year-old girlfriend Bodhi Sherzer-Potter were found shot execution-style in one of the bunkers Jan. 5. Two other teens have been charged with their murder.

The Air Force plans to demolish the bunker by the fall.
