Elderly stroke victim missing from Glendale

Woman wandered from her retirement home

Police sought the public's help Tuesday in locating a 62- year-old woman with the mental capacity of a 4-year-old who wandered away from a retirement home in Glendale last Thursday morning. Dyane Blackford walked away from the Leisure Vale Retirement Home at 413 E. Cypress St. around 7 a.m. Thursday. She cannot communicate because she recently suffered a stroke, according to release from the Glendale Police Department.

Blackford is Asian, 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 125 pounds and has black shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a green sweater and gray or blue pants. Blackford sometimes wear glasses.
