Researchers at Northwestern University found that when young men were shown erotic pictures, they were more likely to take a larger financial gamble than if they were shown other pictures.
The arousing images triggered reactions in the same part of the brain that lights up when financial risks are taken.
Experts say that's because there is an evolutionary need for money and women.
The lead author of this study says the same link could hold true for women, but they did not test it.
