Knee injuries significant in teen athletes

LOS ANGELES A new report finds knee injuries are the leading cause of teen's sports related surgeries.

The most serious injuries increase the risk for early onset arthritis.

Boys were most likely to damage their knees playing football and wrestling, while soccer and basketball had the highest rate of knee injuries for girls.

Researchers recommend strengthening programs to build up knee muscles.
