Report: U.S. may see second baby boom

According to the National Center for Health Statistics, there were a record number of babies born in the nation last year.

There were more than 4 million births total, which is about 15,000 more than the peak time of the baby boom back in 1957.

But demographers say the birth rate was higher back then because just as many babies were being born by fewer women.

Experts say the reason for all the babies last year is a bigger population.
