Older dads could pass on bipolar disorder

A new Swedish study finds being born to an older father may increase one's risk for bipolar disorder.

Researchers found people whose dads were older than 29 at the time of birth had an increased risk, compared to offspring of younger fathers.

Children of men 55 years of age and older were 37 percent more likely to be diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
