Inland Empire Hispanic Image Awards

RIVERSIDE, Calif. The celebration will begin with a pre-event reception starting at 5:30 p.m. Immediately following the reception, the awards program will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.

Over the last 10 years over 98 individuals, businesses and organizations have been honored at the Inland Empire Hispanic Image Awards.

Honorees to be recognized at the 2008 Hispanic Image Awards:

• Influential Latina: Dr. Vilma Torres Section of Cardiology, Loma Linda University Medical Center.
• Legacy Award (Inaugural): The Valdivia Family
• Lifetime Achievement Award: Ernest Garcia Ed.D, Former Dean of the College of Education, California State University, San Bernardino
• Business of the Year: Casa de Flores, San Bernardino, CA
• Non-Profit of the Year: The Puente Project
• Entertainers of the Year: KGGI & KDIF Radio Clear Channel Radio Riverside, CA
• Public Safety Person of the Year: Chief David Dominguez Palm Springs Police Department, Palm Springs, CA.

Since 1998, the Image Awards has honored 98 influential Individuals and organizations. The Inland Empire Hispanic Image Awards acknowledges the positive contributions of Latinos throughout the Inland Region.
