Kids IQs linked to mental disorders

A new study from the Harvard School of Public Health looked at more than 1,000 children in New Zealand over 30 years.

The researchers found lower IQs were associated with the development of schizophrenia, depression, and anxiety.

While the findings may help improve patient treatment, scientists say they cannot yet explain the actual mechanism that increases the risk of psychiatric disorders.
