Vapor Rub not good for infants

Wake Forest researchers cite a case where an 18-month-old girl developed severe breathing problems when the VapoRub was placed under her nose.

Experts say animal studies show the product may stimulate mucous production and airway inflammation.

Researchers point out: other products with similar ingredients could have the same effect.
