Tustin trainer charged with sex crimes

TUSTIN, Calif. /*San Juan Capistrano*/ resident Hope Jacoby, 23, worked at /*Tustin High*/ for about a year. She was arrested Dec. 19 and released on $100,000 bail.

Investigators said Jacoby and the victim had sex in her car and at her home on several occasions. She was charged with four counts of unlawful sexual intercourse, three counts of oral copulation of a minor, and one count of distributing pornography to a minor. Jacoby faces more than seven years in jail if convicted.

Authorities said the boy was between 16 and 17 years old when the crimes were committed. The student was one of the athletes Jacoby trained at the school.

Jacoby is charged with eight felony counts, including four counts of unlawful sexual intercourse, three counts of oral copulation of a minor and one count of distributing pornography to a minor. She faces up to nearly eight years in prison.
