Rich smokers can't buy good health

Scottish researchers found wealthy smokers were just as likely to die prematurely as smokers who earned less.

Several studies have been done that link heart disease and cancer to smoking, but only a few have looked at the relationship between economic status and smoking.

Typically, higher incomes usually equal better health and access to health care, but in the case of smoking, the grave health effects hit all smokers, regardless of income.
