Info released on possible L.A. abduction

March 14, 2009 6:18:51 AM PDT
Los Angeles police have released information in hopes of figuring out whether a report of a kidnapping is real.Police said a child reported seeing a man take a girl from an elementary school in Canoga Park.

The reported victim is described as an 8- or 9-year-old girl wearing a pink tank top and black or blue capri pants.

However, police say they have no reports of missing children matching that description.

The suspect was driving possibly a blue 1970s Ford van with pink and green graffiti on it, with damage to the passenger side and a broken passenger window.

Anyone with information is urged to call the LAPD at (877) LAPD-24-7.
