She was crossing Crenshaw Blvd. at 78th Street just before 9 p.m. Sunday when police say she was struck by a vehicle.
That driver then fled the scene without stopping.
Family and friends of the victim held a candlelight vigil at the scene Monday night, where Moore's sister thanked two other drivers that stopped after the incident to shield her from oncoming traffic.
Investigators have no description of the driver or the vehicle involved.
