Woman's bra deflects bullet, saves life

DETROIT, Mich. Detroit police said two men broke into a home and set off the alarm.

As the home invaders were fleeing, they noticed a neighbor watching them and fired a shot at her.

The neighbor was shot in the chest area, but the underwire in her bra stopped the bullet from penetrating. She was only grazed by the bullet.

"Thank God that she had on the bra. The wire protected her," said James Durham, who witnessed the incident.

The woman whose home was broken into, Leola Brock-Reese, said only jewelry is missing from her home.

Police are searching for two suspects who broke into the home, and a third suspect who was the getaway driver. There are reports that they were traveling in a purple 4-door Dodge Neon.
