Car AC may protect from outside germs

Researchers at Germany's Hannover Medical School monitored air quality in vehicles between five and 10 years old, and found that air-conditioning blocked more than 80 percent of germs and particles from the outside.

But researchers pointed out that the cars in the test had been properly maintained, and the air filters were changed regularly.
