Green tea helps prevent HIV?

Researchers in Germany found that a /*green tea*/ polyphenol neutralizes a protein in sperm that facilitates /*HIV*/ transmission.

The scientists say adding the chemical to feminine creams could be a low cost way to reduce the sexual transmission of HIV in poor and developing countries.

The study is published in the online /*Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences*/.
