"Up" is not the only animated film coming out this summer. The sequel, "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs" is the third installment of the popular franchise about prehistoric creatures and reunites the voices of Ray Romano, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah and John Leguizamo.

During the course of their adventure, the gang runs into a new character voiced by Simon Pegg, who most recently played "Scotty" in "Star Trek."

"I kind of figured I that hadn't done anything that my children could watch yet," said Pegg. "So I figured I'd do 'Ice Age,' which was a really... it was really fun joining that family."

"Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs" is in theaters July 1.
