Unmanned rocket enters the moon's orbit

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. The /*Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter*/, which is about the size of a Mini Cooper automobile, will seek out potential landing sites, extensively map the moon's surface, and try to find water ice, which is believed to be hidden away among craters at the moon's south pool.

This comes just one month shy of the 40th anniversary of the first moon landing by the Apollo 11 astronauts in July 1969.

/*NASA*/ is looking into the possibility of returning astronauts to the moon by the year 2020.
