Cardinal Mahony leads Labor Day Mass

LOS ANGELES He said Labor Day is a celebration of all workers but also said this year is particularly a time of despair for many workers in Southern California and around the world.

Cardinal Mahony prayed for more jobs to help lift the spirit of the American worker. He said workers need to think positively and that Southern California officials and employers need to find new ways to expand the job market.
