13-year-old charged in Morris Fire

POMONA, Calif. He's suspected of starting the Morris Dam Fire, which burned nearly 3,000 acres north of Azusa last month.

He was charged in juvenile court and his name was not released because of his age.

The teen will be arraigned on November 17 in Pomona Juvenile Court for one felony count each of arson of a forest and recklessly causing a fire to a forest or structure.

The fire started August 25, the same day as the massive Station Fire.

Detectives from the Los Angeles County arson-explosives unit and investigators from the U.S. Forest Service and Los Angeles County Fire Department determined the Morris fire was deliberately set.
