L.A. Sheriff's face lawsuit for shooting

CARSON, Calif. The family of 33-year-old Ezequiel Jacobo says he was shot while trying to get away, and that deputies didn't allow paramedics to try to revive him.

Jacobo was unarmed, but Sheriff's officials say he was shot while reaching for a deputy's gun.

An order last week by Sheriff Lee Baca makes this case a top priority for the department.

Baca said that all investigations into officer-involved shootings with unarmed victims must now be completed in 90 days.
