Vigil planned for El Monte school official

EL MONTE, Calif. The widow of an El Monte school board member is breaking her silence about her husband's horrific murder in Mexico.

Authorities say gunmen stormed a restaurant in the state of Durango on Wednesday and abducted six men including 33-year-old Agustin "Bobby" Salcedo.

He was vice president of the El Monte school district and an assistant principal.

The bodies of all the abducted men were found the following morning.

Betzy Salcedo told the L.A. Times she never thought innocent people would be victims of such violence in her hometown.

A vigil will be held Monday for Salcedo at Mountain View High School in El Monte at 6 p.m.
