The victim was still stuck underneath a rail car at 5 p.m. Friday. Surface disruptions were expected along the Blue Line route.
An investigation was under way Friday afternoon.
The train was evacuated. Passengers were corralled in a nearby parking lot.
No passengers were reported injured.
The deceased victim was identified as a 30-year-old female who was traveling eastbound on foot near the rail crossing.
