Paparazzi arrested at taping of 'The Bachelor'

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirms the arrest.

Security guards at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes made citizens arrests on two photographers during a weekend confrontation at a special taping of "The Bachelor" T.V. series.

The paparazzi were taken into custody about 2:45 p.m. Saturday when the guards called the authorities for help.

The photographers were among paparazzi trying to take pictures of people arriving for the wedding of Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney.

Mesnick and Malaney are the first contestants in the 13-season history of "The Bachelor" to be married.

Maximiliano Lopez, 28, of Torrance and Eric Brogmus, 22, of Burbank were cited on suspicion of misdemeanor battery and unlawful blocking of a sidewalk.

They are scheduled to appear in Torrance court on March 28.

Mesnick and Malaney, who met during last year's edition of "The Bachelor," reportedly were married in front of an estimated 300 guests who turned out on a rainy day at the Terranea Resort.

The wedding was taped for a two-hour ABC special "The Bachelor: Jason and Molly's Wedding."
