Man in hospital gown leads CHP on chase

COLTON, Calif. At one point, the suspect drove the wrong way on the freeway. The CHP used spike strips to flatten the front tires, but even that didn't stop him

The driver kept going on the rims for some time until he finally surrendered. The pursuit ended on the 60 Freeway in Moreno Valley.

Police say the man was being evaluated at the hospital's behavioral health unit when he jumped from a second story and took the van.

He was arrested and returned to the center.
