Authorities say the accident happened at about 4 a.m., but a witness didn't report it until Saturday evening.
They won't say how they were able to determine it was Locklear's car, but will say she's due in traffic court on May 17.
In a plea deal in January of 2009, Locklear pleaded no contest to reckless driving.
