HOLLYWOOD, Calif. --
Academy Award-winning actress Emma Thompson received the 2,416th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday.
Her colleagues, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Hugh Laurie, joined Thompson in speaking at the late-morning ceremony in front of the Pig 'n Whistle pub on Hollywood Boulevard.
The honor comes two weeks before her latest film is released, "Nanny McPhee Returns."
Thompson won a best actress Academy Award in 1992 for "Howard's End." She took home her second Oscar in 1996 for best adapted screenplay for "Sense and Sensibility."
