Crews put out 10-acre fire near Getty Center

A fire that consumed 10 acres of brush near the Getty Center has been put out, fire officials said.

The blaze east of the 405 freeway at Getty Center Drive was reported about 5 p.m. Saturday.

As many as 271 firefighters were aided by water-dropping helicopters, officials said.

No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged, although one building in Bel Air Estates was protected at one point.

Three freeway lanes were closed to traffic.
