New plane seats give 23 inches of leg space

LOS ANGELES Named the Sky Rider, the new seat resembles a saddle on a horse.

It will be unveiled at an aircraft interiors conference in /*Long Beach*/ mid September.

The Italian company that designed it says some airlines in the United States are interested in the idea .

Fares would be lower, but more people could be squeezed onto a plane.
