10 hurt in 3-vehicle crash in Little Tokyo

LITTLE TOKYO, LOS ANGELES It happened about 8:30 a.m. right next to the Metro Gold Line's Little Tokyo station at First and Alameda streets.

Of those injured, four were seriously hurt, five suffered non life-threatening injuries and one was treated at the scene.

An MTA employee was one of the first on the scene after the crash.

"We were working in the building right here and we heard a loud boom and we came out to see what was going on," Sarisha Roby said. "There were people in the red car, there were older people hurt, a dog and in the van there was like a family of like seven."

Witnesses also said a baby was among those injured.

Gold Line trains were not involved, but the tracks had to be shut down temporarily.
