Ernst and Young workers volunteer at zoo

LOS ANGELES "With the events around the community that we got to choose from, these are events that people can really relate to," said employee Mark Sigomian.

About 600 Ernst and Young employees were volunteering all over Southern California but one lucky group got to monkey around building hammocks for apes out of old fire hoses.

"It's a chance for people who don't see each other that much to connect together and connect with the community," said employee Amanda Massucci.

There was also the added benefit of getting to see the animals enjoy their work.
