Snipes tries to clear name on 'Larry King'

LOS ANGELES In an interview on CNN's "Larry King Live," he said media reports of him being convicted of tax evasion are false.

He said he's not nervous about going to prison, but he was more upset and disappointed that the legal system was not working in his favor.

The 48-year-old actor did not directly blame his accountants or financial advisors on his troubles, but said he relied on their advice.

Snipes was convicted of failing to file tax returns from 1999 to 2001, a time which prosecutors say he earned about $40 million.
