A man was convicted on Tuesday for murdering his wife in Anaheim and then dumping her body on a freeway in Los Angeles. Angel Duarte Cerna, 39, was found guilty of one felony count of murder. He faces a maximum of 25 years to life in state prison when he is sentenced Dec. 20.

According to officials, on Nov. 6, 2006, Cerna suffocated and murdered his wife, Gabriella Herrera. He dumped her body on the side of the 60 Freeway in Los Angeles County.

After dumping the body, Cerna went to work that morning at a car dealership in Buena Park.

Herrera's two young children, who are from previous relationships, realized their mother was gone when they woke up. Family members reported Herrera missing, and the children were sent to stay with their biological fathers.

Herrera's body was found four days later after police received an anonymous tip, but her body wasn't identified until several weeks later through fingerprint records.

Cerna was arrested in July 2007 for the murder.
