The bank robber dubbed the "dapper bandit" is said to be in the custody of federal agents. The man was arrested on Friday night as he tried to enter the U.S. at the San Ysidro border crossing.

John Richard Martinez, 41, was wanted in connection with six robberies in California, including one in Thousand Oaks.

Authorities named him the "dapper bandit" because of the black golf hat, sports jacket and high-collared shirt he wore during at least one alleged robbery.
