Her roommate, Paul Allee, was arrested at the end of a four-hour standoff with a LAPD SWAT team.
Early Tuesday, police answered a shots-fired call at the Hudson Apartments on the 6500 block of Hollywood Boulevard.
Neighbors say at about 3 a.m., they heard the couple arguing inside the third-floor apartment they shared. They say Vigil left the apartment and Allee shot her several times in the hallway.
Allee was booked on suspicion of murder and held on $1 million bail.
