People who eat a big breakfast are apparently not cutting calories later in the day as previously thought.

Prior research associated weight loss with eating a higher calorie breakfast, but only if people ate smaller lunches and dinners.

Now new research found that people who ate a big breakfast actually consumed around 400 more calories in a day compared to people who ate less or didn't eat breakfast at all.

The study is in the current Nutrition Journal.
