The woman was riding on a motorized scooter, not a wheelchair as previously reported.
A driver swerved to avoid a vehicle backing out of a driveway and struck the elderly woman on the scooter, pinning her underneath the vehicle.
The woman, who was elderly, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
A second vehicle involved in the collision was also on scene. It was earlier reported the second driver had fled the scene.
The collision was under investigation.
A gas line was compromised, according to the Pasadena Fire Dept.
