Mother punished for answering son's phone call

WOODBURY, Tenn

Teresa Danford was at work at the Crane Interiors Factory in Woodbury, Tenn. on Feb. 14 when her son called her cellular phone from /*Afghanistan*/.

Danford said she knew about her company's no cellular phone policy but she answered anyway.

The next day, she was suspended from work without pay for three days.

"There is nothing in this world that would stop a mother from answering a phone call from her son. And what if it were not my son? What if he had been hurt? What if someone was trying to contact me?" Danford said.

A statement from Crane Interiors said that it is company policy that cellular phones not be used during working hours due to safety concerns.
