Authorities said a woman and a boy were robbed at gunpoint Sunday night at a bus stop in Montebello.
They flagged down officers with a description of the suspects and the getaway vehicle.
Officers found it, but the suspects took off, leading police through several cities. The chase ended in Boyle Heights.
Authorities said the suspects threw a weapon out of the car and officers found it.
They also recovered the stolen items, which were a purse and a cell phone.
