Moreno Valley high school ends biology animal dissections

MORENO VALLEY, Calif.

The school is the first to accept an offer from the Animal Welfare Institute and save the frogs for free anatomy software.

The groups are giving the software licenses, worth nearly $900 each, to the first 25 schools that agree to give up dissections for five years.

The groups say the software is more humane, more effective and environmentally friendly than actual dissections.
