Police seek Los Alamitos bank robbery suspect

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif.

At about 9:30 a.m. June 21, Los Alamitos Police received a bank robbery alarm from the branch located at 10942 Pine St., according to the department.

Bank employees said a male suspect entered the bank and demanded money brandishing a butcher knife.

The suspect had already fled the scene when police arrived. Officers from the Los Alamitos, Cypress and Seal Beach police departments searched the area but did not find the suspect. The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect was described as an African-American man in his 30s with a goatee, standing about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds, wearing a black long-sleeve shirt and black pants, sunglasses and a black ball cap, carrying a black backpack.
