Police said that 20-year-old Arturo Gutierrez broke into the home in the 28000 block of Avenida Maravilla at 2:28 a.m.
According to authorities, the victim called 911 and Gutierrez was arrested without incident.
Gutierrez was booked into Riverside County Jail. Police say evidence connects him to another burglary in the area.
