North Hollywood man wanted for allegedly kidnapping own mother

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES

The FBI said Doris Goldberg was living with her other son in Oregon when she was abducted two months ago. She suffers from Alzheimer's disease.

Her son, 55-year-old Marshall Goldberg, is believed to have taken her because of a custody dispute. He is under orders to stay away from his mother as a result of a conviction in San Mateo County in 2004 on a felony charge of making threats. The exact motive behind the reported kidnapping is unclear.

The FBI said he once worked in the movie industry. Authorities said he has been known to go by the name "Norman Goldberg."

Goldberg is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 160 to 165 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He may be wearing glasses and driving a gold 1996 Oldsmobile sedan, California license plate 3SZY023.

Anyone who sees Goldberg or his mother is asked to call the FBI.
