Half of all women will experience a urinary tract infection, and many turn to cranberry juice. But according to experts, it doesn't work better than antibiotics.

According to the Archives of Internal Medicine, women who took cranberry capsules had four recurrences in a year. Those on antibiotics had less than two.

Scientists say antibiotics can lead to drug resistance, so cranberry juice might be a useful, despite its lower effectiveness.
