Police say the driver of the SUV ran from the scene, leaving the vehicle lodged half-way into the house. The damage to the home is extensive.
The occupants were sleeping in the back of the house when it happened; there were no injuries.
Authorities have detained a man found walking nearby, and are now trying to determine if he was involved in the crash.
