Kern County wildfire nears full containment

LEBEC, Calif.

As of midday Wednesday, the fire was 85 percent contained and had burned about 175 acres.

The blaze started Tuesday afternoon after firefighters said a van blew a tire and the sparks ignited some grass on the side of the road.

Approximately 150 firefighters responded to the scene.

Fortunately, no structures were damaged and no injuries have been reported.
