Robert Rizzo sells Huntington Beach home

Former Bell City Manager Robert Rizzo has put his posh Huntington Beach home up for sale as he awaits trial on corruption charges. The asking price is $949,000. Realtor Bill Cuppy says Rizzo bought the 3,200-square-foot, two-story classic for $1.3 million in 2007 and invested thousands more in luxury upgrades, such as a walk-in closet with custom cabinetry and a chandelier. The house is near downtown Huntington Beach and nine blocks from the shore. Rizzo, who allegedly earned an $800,000 yearly salary from the city of Bell, is facing approximately 50 criminal charges in a corruption scandal involving city funds.
