Sheriffs investigate body found in Saugus

September 1, 2011 12:00:00 AM PDT
Homicide investigators were in Saugus on Thursday at a home where a woman's body has been found in the morning.

According to the coroner's office, the case is a possible homicide, but investigators have not confirmed that information.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department detectives responded to the 20700 block of Plum Canyon Road at about 9:30 a.m.

Neighbors say police were called to the house numerous times in the past, the most recent time being Wednesday night. They say the woman and her boyfriend had frequent loud arguments, and she was recently injured.

One neighbor described the woman as quiet but friendly.

"When we moved here two years ago, she was the ones that welcomed us. She was always very sweet to the kids," neighbor Lindsay Baumgarten. "It's just a real shame and a loss for our community."

Many in the neighborhood were concerned about the couple's relationship. It is unclear if anyone has been taken into custody for the woman's death.
